I saw a Facebook friend had ‘liked’ this status and really thought it spoke volumes to my feelings about today;
“I can’t remember. I have never served on a battlefield. I have never lost a loved one to war. I have never seen the horror, death, and destruction. I can’t remember, because I have never had to experience it. That is why today, I honour and thank those who served.“

I had arrived early to class yesterday as I had a quick pre-presentation meeting with my classmates in my group. We were due to present at 1, so we met around 12:30 outside the classroom. Typically, classes end at 10 minutes to the hour in order to have everyone in/out of the classroom to have enough time to get to the next class. At 12:55 when the class stil wasn’t out, we began to ‘push’ our way in. They were done the lesson, but were taking their sweet time to get out of the classroom.
While I was claiming my spot in the back row, there was a sudden silence in the room except for screaming at the front of the room.
“You fucking idiot, I’m failing because of you. I get help from a classmate because you can’t fucking teach me anything, and you fucking rag on him. You’re such an ignorant asshole. IGNORANT. Can you spell that? Who the fuck are you to say who can and can’t help me? Do you hear me? Can you even UNDERSTAND English? I’m TALKING TO YOU! I’M FAILING BECAUSE OF YOU!”
Wait – what?
She was full out SCREAMING at him. The teacher kept trying to calm her down saying that they should meet in his office where it’s less embarassing for the both of them; she wanted no part in that. Finally, she walks away and goes “you’re such a fucking asshole, go back to your country.”
Again, I’m sorry, what did you just say?.
She then stormed out of the classroom. I was too shocked she actually came out with that to go after her, but a fellow friend and classmate tailed it after her and tuned her in.
Seriously – you want to talk about ignorance, and you act like that? If you were failing before; you’re sure as fuck not passing now.

Shutterfly recently launched their 2011 holiday card collection, and there’s some pretty nifty ones in there that I have my eye on!
I love how cute and simple the Berry Merry Frame card is. It’s Christmas, without being too ‘in your face’ Christmas-y.
With the right photo, the Wrapped Ribbon card could be a winner as well. Something with a snowy background, perhaps a snowman?
As soon as Seaweed and I move out and have our own dog, the Missing Cookie card will be a ‘must-have’ for puppy’s first Christmas!
My favourite 2011 card from Shutterfly has to be the Merry Little Jingle card. I can’t wait to take the perfect picture to order some!
