Razor blades, please exit my throat.

Since yesterday morning, I’ve been unable to swallow. This morning I woke up with a sore throat, ear ache, headache, sniffly nose, and an ever changing body temperature (seriously – sweating buckets one minute to freezing the next). When I got home from class at 12, I slept right through until 5 p.m. after sleeping a full 8 hours last night. I told my Mom how I was feeling and she took a look in my throat and said there was white spots, a.k.a. most likely strep throat. I called the doctor expecting to have to shuffle my day around tomorrow, and they said that a doctor could see me at 6:20 tonight – sweet.

I got there and was put in a room at 6:18. At 6:59 a doctor FINALLY came in, and a rude one at that. He did a rapid strep test, and it ISN’T strep – which is good in some ways, but it means I didn’t get medication and just have to wait it out.

I have no appetite and no ‘drive’ to do anything. I’ve got a lot of school stuff coming up, but I can’t even get motivated to start thinking about it. Thankfully, I don’t have placement this weekend, so I can spend some quality time hammering out some stuff for school.
